Embark on an exhilarating off-road adventure through Cambodia’s diverse terrain, designed for intermediate to advanced dirt bike riders. Ride through remote jungle trails, explore ancient Khmer temples, and visit the former capitals of the mighty Khmer Empire—all on two wheels.

Your journey begins in Siem Reap, where a pre-tour introduction offers a glimpse into Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and iconic landmarks. From there, we’ll retrace the paths of history, venturing from bustling cities to peaceful rural villages.

This immersive experience goes beyond riding—it’s a deep dive into Cambodia’s transformation, told through its landscapes, communities, and centuries-old stories. Day 1 : Siem Reap to Koh Ker temple

Today, we will ride along the ancient trail that once connected capital to capital by a single jungle track. Leaving the former capital behind, we’ll travel over rough, sandy paths toward Tra Pang Prasat. During the rainy season, this journey may take longer, as the trails become slippery.

Take some time to explore and enjoy a short sightseeing tour before making a last-minute decision: stop for lunch here or continue on.

Afterward, we’ll head to the hidden temple of Koh Ker for a water break before making the final stretch of the ride to your guesthouse.

Day 2 : Koh Ker – Preh Khan

As the sun rises, we begin another day of adventure, riding through some of the most breathtaking views of the Cambodian countryside on our way to Preah Khan Temple—once the second capital of the Angkor Empire after the city was abandoned.

We follow a single-track trail through the jungle toward the Kulen community, immersing ourselves in authentic Cambodian rural life. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque villages and a diverse landscape of plantations—rubber, tobacco, jackfruit, cashew nuts, and bananas—perfect for scenic photo opportunities.

One of the highlights of today’s journey is riding mostly on dirt tracks, which shift in texture and terrain, making the experience both easier and more exciting. As we continue deeper into the jungle and local villages, we’ll pass rubber plantations and cashew farms, giving you a closer look at the everyday life of rural Cambodians.

We then continue riding southwest along a red dirt road for several more kilometers until we reach the Preah Khan community.

Ride Distance: 135 km

Day 3 : Preh Khan – Kampong Chhnang

Today, we’ll leave behind the ancient Khmer city and ride along village trails, spending most of the morning exploring the Cambodian countryside. Along the way, we’ll stop at a local school to make a small donation—such as pens or books—and take the opportunity to learn more about Cambodia’s education system and its children.

Lunch will be served in a village, where you’ll enjoy authentic local dishes and experience true rural hospitality. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our ride into Aral National Park, passing through scenic landscapes and quiet paths.

Tonight, you’ll stay with a local family in a traditional homestay, offering a meaningful glimpse into rural life and Cambodian culture.

Distance : 200km

Day 4 : Kampong Chhnang – La Eng water fall

If you’re looking for an extreme adventure, this trail delivers—with technical climbs, dodgy bridges, slippery single tracks, and multiple river crossings. It’s arguably one of the best and most challenging routes through the Aural Mountain Range.

We’ll spend the night in a charming rural homestay in Chrok La Eng village, the gateway to Aural National Park and home to one of the most stunning waterfalls in Cambodia, complete with a major river crossing. Nearby rapids offer the perfect place to cool off with a refreshing swim after a thrilling day.

This area is among the most untouched regions of Cambodia, where new species are still being discovered. Sadly, it’s also under threat from rapid deforestation and development. Staying in a local guesthouse or homestay not only immerses you in the local culture but also supports the community directly.

Day 5 : Ural mountain view community

Today’s ride is one of the most challenging as we venture deep into the rural bush trails of Cambodia. We’ll begin the day on narrow single tracks, navigating through the rugged terrain of the Aural Mountain Range and descending toward the Kravan community. By late afternoon, we’ll wrap up the day with a well-deserved cold beer at the final stop. Tonight, we’ll stay overnight in the Cardamom community.

Please note: If we arrive late to the Chay Reab community due to the difficulty of the trails, we may choose to stay there overnight instead to avoid riding in the dark for safety reasons.

Distance : 109km.

Day 6 : Koh Kong beach town

Today is considered one of the longest days of the trip. After a local breakfast, we’ll head out to fuel up in preparation for a 90 km ride on tarmac roads to the Pramouy community. Upon arrival, we’ll take a short coffee break and top up our fuel again to ensure we’re ready for the ride up into the mountains—arguably the most enjoyable section of the day.

We’ll pass through the stunning O’Sam village, known as Cambodia’s organic farming hub, which supplies nutrient-rich fruits across the country. After lunch in the village, we’ll continue riding for approximately three more hours along the main road, descending toward Koh Kong, a peaceful beach town where you’ll enjoy a full day at leisure tomorrow.

Day 7 : Free at your leisure to wander around the town (Your own meals)

Today is your free at leisure to explore the town on your own. We recommend to take the Tuk Tuk or rend the scooter to the beach which in 5km from the town.

Day 8 : Koh Kong – Chi Pat eco-community

After breakfast, we’ll begin the day by riding the first section on the main road, taking about an hour and a half to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Cardamom Mountain Range. Once we reach the off-road section, the real adventure begins as we ascend into the mountains toward the Chi Pat community, a well-known ecotourism hub.

Along the way, we’ll pass an elephant sanctuary and one of Cambodia’s largest wildlife observation zones. Lunch will be served at our homestay, where we’ll drop off our bags and gear up for an afternoon ride through the wildlife sanctuary. This part of the journey is often described as the most enjoyable section of the trip, with wild, untamed nature all around.

Distance : 135km

Day 9 : Chi Pat – Srae Ambil

Today, we will ride along an ancient trail used by the Khmer minority over 1,300 years ago. If time permits, we’ll make a brief visit to a cave that houses old Khmer coffins, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past.

We’ll pack lunch today, as the journey to Kamlot Village—the former Khmer Rouge campsite—can take some time.

In the early morning, we’ll ride through a wildlife sanctuary, crossing several large rivers. The bush tracks ahead are some of the best single tracks of the trip, stretching about 40 km to Kamlot Village.

If we arrive at the homestay early, we’ll celebrate our last night with a party on a river raft, enjoying local beer and stunning views of the Cardamom Mountain Range.

Day 10 : Phnom Penh tour END

Wake up to a fresh morning and say goodbye to the locals as we head north toward Phnom Penh. Today’s ride begins with a mix of sandy tracks, leading to our first water stop where your body can ease into the gentle rhythm of ox-cart trails.

We’ll arrive at a village by lunchtime, giving you some time to chat with the locals before enjoying your meal.

After lunch, we’ll push onward with your final day’s adventure—navigating the busy traffic as we approach Phnom Penh.

HOTEL OPTION

Where we stay?

We mix our accommodation between comfortable, clean guest houses and remote Village home stays. Staying in village home stays is a real experience however after a few days of riding you will be ready for a comfy bed, warm shower and a good nights sleep.

Where and what will we eat?

Cambodiaoffroad do not include food or drinks in our tour packages, the reason why we don’t know what and how much you will consume so its best you pay your way.

On single day tours you will have lunch at the local clean restaurants serving good Khmer food.

Multi day tour

On multi day tours things are a little different, we do where possible have lunch in a restaurant, however our tours are not like others and we spend most of the day on trails in extremely remote areas where restaurants are just not heard of, this does not stop our guides from organizing lunch in local villages which is a real experience!

Evenings are not a problem in the home stays we have good home cooked food and in the towns we know where to find the most delicious local specialties.

What back pack should I use?

The trick over here is to travel light. Its no fashion show out there so don’t worry about lots of changes of clothes bring with you only the necessitates. A hydro-backpack holding 2-3 liters of water is ideal or a small-medium sized rucksack than has room to carry bottled water.

What about land mines, malaria and safety?

It safe to ride thru the remote Cambodia as MAG cleared most mines from land and Most of the mines that remain are around the border areas and we are always informed by the local authority about the risk.

Cambodia off road have accessed mined area maps from CMAC and avoid all high risk areas.

There is a risk from Malaria in certain areas in Cambodia so don’t forget the mosquito spray and if you feel it necessary a course of malaria tablets.

In regards to civil unrest it has been many years since the Khmer Rouge occupied Cambodia and although we do travel through ares where many former Khmer Rouge soldiers and leaders settled it is completely safe. Also the conflict at the border with Thailand has also ended making the trip to Preah Veaher temple also safe.

Do you supply riding gear?

Cambodia off road includes all riding gear in the tour price. This makes it easy for those of you who had not planed to ride whilst on holiday. We include helmet, gloves, enduro boots, goggles, pads, trousers and shirt.

Many who come on longer planned tours prefer to bring there own gear, we recommend this as its far more comfortable in your own boots!

What about money matters?

Cambodia runs on two currencies the American Dollar and the Cambodian Riel. You will not be able to get Riel in your own country so bring Dollars with you.

Before you go on tour change some of your dollars into Riel as we head into remote areas where US dollars are often not accepted.

We reckon that on average you need around $20-$30 a day for your food and drinks. Atm’s are available in the major towns but don’t rely on these on tour. We also request full payment before we leave on tour so be sure to bring it with you.

US dollars are accepted the whole Cambodia with small note!

Trip was 5 star all round , great range of riding tracks , good bikes , great guide and mechanic, accommodation was good and the temple visits were sweet , certainly recommend this to anyone Thanks Lads for the great trip and hope to see you again for another adventure
